REUSE - Admin v2 Session Types

The main difference between session types is: Who turns on their camera?

Mainstage Sessions

Mainstage sessions are designed for high-impact presentations and can be customized based on the number of presenters and audience size. Here are the key features and use cases for Mainstage sessions:

  • Presenter Setup: One or multiple presenters turn on their cameras, microphones, and share their screens.

  • Audience Interaction: An audience member can be brought on stage using the raise hand feature. Everyone can interact using engagement tools such as chat.

  • Audience Size: The maximum number of audience members depends on the streaming method. [insert Daily audience member suggestions]

  • Use Cases: Ideal for keynote sessions, main attractions, and any sessions with multiple presenters.

Breakout

Breakout sessions are designed for interactive group discussions and can be adapted for both small and large groups. Here are the key features and use cases for Breakout sessions:

  • Participant Setup: Everyone in these group sessions can turn on their camera, microphone, and share their screen. They can also use engagement tools such as chat.

  • Group Size: We recommend setting a maximum of 40 - 50 people for the best video streaming experience. Daily supports interactive live streaming for up to 100,000 participants with up to 25 cams/mics enabled.

  • Moderation: Including moderators who can disable the audio or video of anyone causing a poor experience for others is recommended.

  • Use Cases: Ideal for small group discussions, large groups, and private breakout sessions for networking.
